From Pilot to Professional Platform

Afro Soul Stories began with Sewor Okudzeto single-handedly producing, editing, scheduling and marketing 20+ episodes alongside Qube Studios videographers – achieving over 79,500+ views with zero budget.

With funding, the project scales to:

Producer & Creative Director: Sewor Okudzeto (artistic leadership, hosting, high-level partnerships)

Assistant Producer: Scheduling, guest liaison, logistics (recruited with funding)

Production Partners: Qube Studios + freelance sound and editing teams

Marketing Team: Dedicated PR and digital marketing specialists

Episodes filmed in batched 10-day blocks; live sessions monthly. All freelance roles advertised through networks supporting Black and Global Majority creatives.

The proven solo model becomes a professional team operation – protecting artistic vision while scaling delivery and impact.

Creativity Through Heritage

Sewor Okudzeto is a British music producer, composer and musical director (20+ years) with Ghanaian-American heritage. Raised and educated in London, Sewor founded Sakora Records in Ghana before returning to the UK to create Afro Soul Stories.

Film and TV composer (Guangzhou Dream Factory, Foodies, The Grumpy Beard). Musical director for the inaugural years of Indie Fuse and Chale Wote Arts Festival. Experienced coordinating artists, bands, broadcast teams and budgets across the UK, West Africa, Europe and Australia.

Afro Soul Stories was created to amplify Afro-diasporic and Afro-Caribbean voices often overlooked in mainstream media, creating a free digital archive of artist-led conversations and cultural documentation.
